Man Behind the Camera is an exclusive live cinematic concert by Ukrainian-Canadian composer and pianist Taras Luka, featuring an original score performed to Man with a Movie Camera (1929), the landmark avant-garde film by Dziga Vertov.  The film was produced in Ukraine by All-Ukrainian Photo Cinema Administration (VUFKU) and filmed in Kyiv, Odesa, and Kharkiv, capturing the rhythm of modern city life through groundbreaking cinematic techniques.

During the screening, Luka performs the score live on stage, transforming the film into a powerful immersive audiovisual experience where music and image unfold together in real time.

Taras Luka is an award-winning composer with an international career across Europe and North America, known for his work in theatre, film, and large-scale concert productions.
