To celebrate acclaimed actor and playwright Molière’s 400th birthday, the Comedie Française theatre has partnered with Pathé cinema to shoot the performance of Molière’s play Tartuffe, currently staging live in Paris. Director Ivo van Hove has us discover the original version, censored in 1664 by the King the day after the premiere and therefore only performed once in its history.
